Submission to the will of
the Lord is not always easy for the child of God. How do we know the Father’s
will? The Father reveals His will to His children as we develop an intimate
relationship with Him, as discussed in the previous section of this book. We can
be misguided by the ways of man (religious tradition), the ways of the flesh
and/or the ways of the world. Part of God’s process in making us suitable
vessels for His purposes involves our total surrender to His will. It may be
easier for some believers to submit to the Father’s will when they do not have
a lot to lose in this life.
